I am no-man’s man.

I am eye and bone

and bitter spoon, fed

and fleeing. Isn’t this

the thing. Magpie

and sparrow singing

so you can scream.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

I was reading Tomaž Šalamun some months ago, and this poem and many other unseen poems, were my attempt at reproducing the irreverent poignancy of his work. As you can see, I mostly failed.
